Wyclef released the video for his Trayvon Martin tribute.
Well maybe not, but I can’t think of any other logical reason for him to say this.
“I have to tell you this: I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin…Cause she’s rad. She’s shrewd. She’s cool. Because at the end of the day, I’m for the people, because this is the United States of America… this is what America’s really about. Anyone should have the right to say, ‘Look I can do the job and this is what qualifies me to do the job.’…. Now my wife probably will debate and disagree with me.”
Glen Rice better watch his back…
Sad news for Wyclef and his political aspirations. Clef has been denied the opportunity to run for President of his native country Haiti. An electoral official spoke with the L.A. Tmes and advised that Clef did not make the cut.
“He is not on the list as I speak,” said the anonymous official.
The major hurdle that Wyclef had to cross was the fact that he was not living in Haiti.
It looks like somebody is trying to spoil Wyclef Jean’s plan to be the next president of Haiti. In a recent interview, Clef confirmed that some of the Haitian citizens have been threatening his life. While currently being held at an undisclosed location, he reportedly said “we have been getting threats telling me if I know what’s good for me, I would get out [of] the country”
There are some other obstacles that may be in the way of his rise to power. The Haitan electoral commission is currently deciding if he meets the requirements that their government has about a presidential candidate living in the country for five consecutive years. It is something that is called “habitual residency”. So basically, they are saying you can’t be some Haitian born rapper and live in America for 25 years and come back and try to run for President…HAITI DON’T PLAY DAT!!!
