Raise your hand if you knew that Venus and Serena Williams owned a piece of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. *Waits* Okay…Well neither did I!

It seems as though the Williams sisters purchased a piece of the South Beach franchise back in 2009.

This is why Serena is reppin’ for her team in a new NFL ad campaign. The “It’s My Team.” ads are being used to bring awareness to the league’s new women’s wear line.

FUTURE NFL HALL OF FAME PLAYER RANDY MOSS RETIRES

SHOWTIME SAYS…

The man that many NFL fans have come to know as “The Freak” is calling it quits. Randy Moss is retiring after 13 seasons, 954 catches for 14,858 yards, and 153 touchdowns.

After working out a few weeks ago, Moss was said to be in perfect shape and ready for the season to start.

He is determined, motivated and quite frankly has a huge chip on his shoulder. Whatever team ends up getting Randy, they’re going to know they’re getting the old Randy Moss,” Segal told NFL.com in mid-July. “He’s not just coming in to be on the team, he’s going to be Randy Moss — a difference maker.”

Hard to believe that such a great receiver is ending his career so soon.

Former NFL player and Hall of Fame wide receiver MIchael Irving covers the most recent issue of OUT Magazine. In the article Irving talks about his brother Vaughn who was gay and also discusses why he supports gay marriage.

According to Irving he found out that his brother was gay in the 1970′s one day when he was driving with his father and they saw Vaughn leaving their home dressed in women’s clothes.

As Walter drove up Northwest 27th Avenue, about to turn onto 16th Street, his son noticed a man who looked just like his older brother, Vaughn, walking away from their house toward “all the craziness in the ’hood,” Irvin remembers. It couldn’t be Vaughn: “This man was wearing women’s clothes.” But it was. “My brother had a very distinctive walk,” he says.

Irvin couldn’t believe his eyes. He turned to his father. “My dad looked back at me and said, ‘Yes, that’s your brother. And you love your brother.’ ”

In the article, Irving also discusses his own battles with drugs and how he is overcoming those things with the help of Bishop T.D. Jakes. Irving is a member of Jakes’ Potter House church in Dallas, Texas.

As someone who has played sports for the majority of his life, Irving says that he would accept any athlete who came out and said that he was gay.

“If anyone comes out in those top four major sports, I will absolutely support him. “That’s why I do my radio show every day. When these issues come out, I want to have a voice to speak about them. I think growth comes when we share. Until we do that, we’re going to be stuck in the Dark Ages about a lot of things. When a guy steps up and says, ‘This is who I am,’ I guarantee you I’ll give him 100% support.”

Looks like there may be another sex scandal surrounding the NFL’s New York Jets organization. A few months ago, there was the alleged video of Jets Coach Rex Ryan’s wife doing some sort of weird sexual thing with her feet on Youtube, and now the team’s quaterback is being accused of “hooking up” with a girl under the age of 18.

A 17 year old girl is claiming that she and the 24 year old Sanchez “hooked up” at his place one night after dinner. When asked about the evening, the girl said “We went back to his place in Jersey after dinner. He lives on a golf course. There was a big storm.”

She claimed that she met Sanchez on New Year’s Eve at the Manhattan nightclub Lavo, where he approached her to chat, flirt, and accept her BlackBerry number.

“You know I’m 17, right,” she remembered saying to Sanchez.”

Sanchez allegedly replied, “Well, we can still talk. But I can’t see you until you’re 18,” Deadspin reported.

E.K. then supposedly shot back, “Actually, 17 is legal in New York.”

Deadspin aslo posted a Facebook posting E.K. later made that said, “MARK F—-ING SANCHEZ JUST TEXTED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

She also reportedly told the Web site that Sanchez provided tickets for her and a friend to the Jets-Bills regular season finale on Jan. 2, several days before she met him at Nobu for dinner.
