One of Hip Hop’s brightest young stars has landed a reality series on MTV. Young Money/Cash Money artist Corey Gunz has teamed up with Nick Cannon and MTV to tell the story of what his life has been like since signing to the house that Baby and Slim built.
The show Son of A Gun aired last night on MTV and I have to say it’s a pretty good look. The show gives us a glimpse into different aspects of Corey’s life including his relationships with his father Peter Gunz, his friend Nick Cannon, and his Lawyer Ed Woods. Things get tricky for Corey as he has to decide who he wants to manage his career…Will it be Nick Cannon or Ed Woods. Definitely a show that I will keep on watching.
I told yall a few months back that Young Cory Gunz was getting his own reality show on MTV. Here is the trailer for the show that was created by Gunz and Nick Cannon. Believe it or not, I think this young man is gonna be a star
Lil DeWayne sat down with Sway from MTV and talked about the shot heard round the world…You know the one where Jay-Z says ” I’m like really half a billi nigga, Really you got baby money, Keep it real with niggas, niggas aint got my lady money” Really you got baby money, Keep it real with niggas, niggas aint got my lady money” Yeah….That line…LOL
Wayne insists that the line was not a diss and he did not take it personal…
“Um. Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it, but I wouldn’t make it a competition because actually the subject that he’s talking about in that line, I can’t box with the god, I’d be the first one to tell you that. Given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I’d capitalize and I’d play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would,” said Lil Wanye
Maybe the young fella just knows what’s best for him and realizes that an actual lyrical battle with Jay #AINTWHATHEWANT ….
Leave a comment and let me know…
WHAT DO YOU SAY…DOES WAYNE SERIOUSLY BELIEVE THAT LINE WASN’T ABOUT HIM, OR IS HE JUST TRYING TO KEEP THE PEACE WITH JAY-Z
Looks like the MTV is catching up with the times. The network is going to launch a online award show that will cater to the folks who have a digital presence on the innanets.
“To suit an altered music landscape, MTV is planning an untraditional award show celebrating digital music. The network says it’s prepping an as-yet unnamed, multiplatform award show for April or May that will exult digital music and its many varied incarnations. The exact nature of the show hasn’t yet been defined, but MTV says it will be a “multiscreen experience,” including the Internet, social media and mobile — but not broadcast. Categories for awards haven’t been determined, but they’ll include things like best app, best blog, best Internet feud, best music meme of the year and best Kanye West tweet.
“MTV hopes the show will do for digital music what its Video Music Awards did for the music video. Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music and Logo Group, calls the planned show “an interactive musical mess” to celebrate both “the cool and the geekdom.”
“It will be sloppy,” Toffler says. “It will be interactive. It will be customizable. It will be fun and unexpected. Most shows on television are about what’s popular, and I think this will be about what’s bubbling up.”
Another example of how the game is constantly changing…If you’re an artist and you still think you’re gonna get signed by sending your demo to record label execs, you may want to reevaluate some thangs. #imjustsayin
Looks like we may have found our modern day MC Hammer #NORICKROSS. In a recent interview, DeAndre claims that he has spent at least $3 millie on jewelry in recent years.
Sway asked him where he stores all of his ice, and he replied “It’s in a safe deposit bank in Soulja Bank over in Japan that you never heard of. Nah, it’s heavily secured though, ya feel me?” He also stated, ”I keep my jewelry locked up, I keep it on watch. Whenever I select a piece… I put everything else up.”
Now since his most recent CD only sold 14,000 copies in it’s first week I wonder if Soul-jer is going to slow down on the jewelry purchases.
