Let the Weezy promo train begin. Tunechi is prepping for the release of The Carter IV and had a few noteworthy things to go down surrounding him today, so instead of making three different blog posts I’m just gonna sum errythang up in one…
Sunday night you can expect to see Weezy performing live at the MTV VMA’s from L.A’s Nokia Theatre. As soon as the show is over, Weezy’s latest CD ‘The Carter IV’ will be digitally released video Itunes. Taking an approach similar to that of Jay and Ye, Wayne will release the disc digitally first, and then drop the physical version several days later on August 29th.
Lil Wayne says he’s making history. “I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others,” he said in a statement Monday (Billboard)
Wayne even dropped a promo video for the VMA’S where he talks about channeling his emotions. He even performs a few lyrics from his Rick Ross collaboration ‘John’. Check the video below. But most importantly check out his dance moves..LMAO
Damn…damn…damn…Looks like the Ultimate Hustler has fallen on hard times. The IRS is currently auditing Dame Dash, and at the least he is about $2 Million in the hole. Dame sat down with Sway from MTV and Sirius satellite radio to discuss his financial drama.
“They’re auditing me. When you’re a business man, you have a lot of businesses, a lot of times they think you’re laundering money or you’re pretending you’re writing things off that you don’t,” he continued. “I’m a true businessman. As you know, I believe in my independence, I have no partners, so every dollar I make goes right back into every business I have.”
At one point Dame said that he would never wear the same white T-shirt twice…I wonder if he’s singing a different song these days.
Closed mouths don’t get fed on Hollywood Blvd. It looks like times have gotten a little tight for former reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. According to sources, Spencer and Heidi are back to living with his mom and scrambling to make ends meet.
They’re broke and living in a beach house in Santa Barbara owned by his folks, who let them live there rent-free. Few other family members speak to them.
Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery binge has marred her face and body. They are largely unemployable, both on camera and off, victims of their own success.
Three years after their show The Hills wrapped up the coupled spent most of their dough on their wardrobe and Heidi’s failed career as a recording artist…YUP…you read it right. All of that money down the drain.
“We were getting paid to be people we weren’t for so long that there’s no line,” Spencer Pratt says. “What we learned is, you can be too famous.
In the words of Ace Hood…they betta “Go n get it, go n get it, go n get it”…and get some JOBS
*PAUSE* to the title of this post, but check out the video as the head of YMCMB and his right hand man walk down Miami’s South Beach strip and reflect on Wayne’s success. This was filmed for MTV’s new show “”The Dub Magazine Project”
According to CNN, the star of the Jackass franchise was drunk with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit….
“The initial crash reconstruction investigation determined that Mr. Dunn’s vehicle was traveling between 132-140 mph at the time of the collision,” West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll said in a statement Wednesday.
Toxicology testing by the coroner indicated Dunn’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.196%, which is more than twice the legal state limit of 0.08, Carroll said.”
MTV has announced that Lil Wayne will be featured in a new “Unplugged” concert in front of a live audience that will air on June 12th at 9pm. The show will feature Wayne performing acoustic versions of songs in his catalog. This will mark MTV’s first televised Hip Hop Unplugged concert since Jay-Z did it back in 2001.
LEAVE A COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW…
WHAT SONGS DO YOU THINK WEEZY SHOULD PERFORM ON UNPLUGGED?
One of Hip Hop’s brightest young stars has landed a reality series on MTV. Young Money/Cash Money artist Corey Gunz has teamed up with Nick Cannon and MTV to tell the story of what his life has been like since signing to the house that Baby and Slim built.
The show Son of A Gun aired last night on MTV and I have to say it’s a pretty good look. The show gives us a glimpse into different aspects of Corey’s life including his relationships with his father Peter Gunz, his friend Nick Cannon, and his Lawyer Ed Woods. Things get tricky for Corey as he has to decide who he wants to manage his career…Will it be Nick Cannon or Ed Woods. Definitely a show that I will keep on watching.
I told yall a few months back that Young Cory Gunz was getting his own reality show on MTV. Here is the trailer for the show that was created by Gunz and Nick Cannon. Believe it or not, I think this young man is gonna be a star
