In order to celebrate the grand opening of the Brooklyn Nets new home, Jay-Z performed 8 shows at the brand new Barclays Center over the weekend.

Jay rocked out for about 20,000 people in this clip and performed some of his latest and greatest hits. Check out the clip as Mr. Carter spits a new verse in front of the packed house.

RON HOWARD WILL MAKE A NEW FILM ABOUT JAY-Z

Filmaker Ron Howard has agreed to make a documentary about Jay-Z’s “Made In America” music festival. The film will focus on the making of the show as well as the performances.

Steve Stoute and Jay-Z will be producers of the movie, which will be released after the concert is over.

BEYONCE RELEASES CANDID FAMILY PHOTOS

Beyonce revealed some candid pictures recently via her Tumblr page.  King Bey released these photos which show her hanging out and enjoying time with her family.  She and sister Solange hung out with some friends in their hometown of Houston, Texas and she also got to spend some quality time with her husband Jay-Z while he pushed her on a swing.

She even showed us how baby Blue Ivy watches the throne… That shirt may have a little bit more suitable for potty training tho…Get it…Watch…The…Throne *slaps knee and LOL*

Back in October 2010 Roc-A-Fela records co founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke was arrested and later convicted of drug trafficking.

For those who don’t know, Burke was Jay-Z and Dame Dash’s business partner when they launched Roc-A-Fela. He was arrested during a sting operation that picked up about 50 people for marijuana trafficking. Police said that the ring transported ton-quantities of marijuana for distribution in the greater New York area from the early 1990′s to 2010.

He plead guilty to all charges earlier this year and has now been sentenced to 5 years in prison for conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana.

He also was forced to forfeit his home, his car and $600,000 in cash…
