CHRIS BROWN IS BACK AT NUMBER ONE

SHOWTIME SAYS…

Chris Brown’s latest CD will be at the top of this week’s Billboard top 200 album charts.   The new CD entitled “Fortune.” sold 134,000 copies in it’s first week according to Nielsen Soundscan.

This will be Chris’ second straight number one CD. Last year he dropped F.A.M.E. which sold  270,000 in it’s first week .

Fortune is shining down on Chris Brown. After his double wins at this month’s BET Awards, the R&B superstar finds himself back on top of the charts with his fifth album.

Fortune is also doing major numbers overseas.  It is on top of the charts in the U.K. and the Netherlands.

YOUNG JEEZY’S TM 103 FIRST WEEK SALES REVEALED

SHOWTIME SAYS…

First week numbers are in for Jeezy’s TM 103:  Hustlerz Ambition CD. The artist formerly known as Snowman moved 232,938 units last week falling short of the number one spot on the Top 100.

DRAKE’S ‘TAKE CARE’ PROJECTED TO SELL 675-725K IN FIRST WEEK

SHOWTIME SAYS…

The official numbers aren’t in yet but Drake’s sophomore CD ‘Take Cares is projected to sell between 675-725K copies in it’s first week.

If these numbers hold up Drake will have the third highest selling first week CD this year behind Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne.

The final numbers will be released on November 22nd.

LIL WAYNE’S ‘THE CARTER IV’ HITS PLATINUM

SHOWTIME SAYS…

Lil Wayne’s ‘The Carter IV’ CD is certified platinum. After two weeks Weezy has sold 1,184,103 copies of the album.

SHOWTIME SAYS…

There were rumors floating around earlier today that Wiz only moved about 6,000 pieces of ‘Rolling Paper’. You know how the saying goes tho…Women lie…Men lie….But numbers can be altered don’t lie….

Over 190,00 copies isn’t bad…it’s not GREAT considering his strong cult following, but it aint bad.
